Initially we were actually getting hamsters as pets, never once the thought of having rabbits as pets ever crossed my mind. As we were looking at hamsters from shop to shop, we chanced upon a newly opened pet shop in Bedok, we entered the shop to take a look and they were selling hamsters, chinchillas & rabbits. My boyfriend fell in love with one of the Netherlands dwarf rabbits there and that was when he suggested how about we get a rabbit instead as none of us had own a rabbit before (we have experience with hamsters before, as for me it wasn't a good one).
Later that day, we searched the shop on facebook and found another adorable Netherlands Dwarf at their other outlet... About 2 weeks later we went down, and that was when we 'upgraded' ourselves to become papa and mama of Marshmallow and Chestnut.
The story of how Marshmallow came about was due to Chestnut. As Chestnut's personality was extremely timid, she did not eat much nor drink much when she was born so the shop owners decided to give her a buddy in the cage to accompany her. We couldn't bear to separate the both of them thus we got both of them.
Every single day up till now, i'm still learning to become a better parent for my bunnies.
